It’s our job to provide housing for a rising number of older people in need of affordable rentals – and the need, unfortunately, is increasing year-on-year. In order to address this demand, we independently commission new developments or partner with other agencies who can help us grow our portfolio of villages.
New Haumaru village on the way in Green Bay
A new two-storey development which will offer affordable rental homes for older people is currently under construction at 81A Godley Road in Green Bay.
The complex, next door to our existing Godley Court village, will offer 42 one-bedroom units, all of which will qualify for the Income-Related Rent Subsidy.
With construction due to be completed towards the end of 2026, we look forward to being able to provide even more affordable, safe and secure rental homes for seniors in the future.

Greenslade Court
Our newest build, Greenslade Court offers warm, modern one-bedroom homes within a five-storey apartment building for older people.
Designed for comfort, safety and independence, each apartment is designed around ageing in place and includes a wet area bathroom, mobility scooter storage and lift access to all floors. Wilsher Village
With 40 one-bedroom, self-contained apartments, Wilsher Village is an attractive four-storey building, developed by the city’s regeneration agency Panuku Development Auckland on behalf of Haumaru Housing.
Warm, modern and energy efficient, each apartment enjoys a modern kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The complex is designed to maximise comfort and accessibility for residents; it includes communal spaces inside and out, with surrounding lawn and a BBQ area to promote neighbourliness and social connection between tenants.
